“Holy” to me, means the precious mystical mystery of being alive.
My songs come from deep within. They are part of how I sort through my experiences, understand them, and make meaning of my life.
This past year or so has been a time of tremendous change—of resetting, becoming, and discovering more of who I am. It has been beautiful, wondrous, joyful, absolutely messy, and deeply painful.
All of it is sculpting me. It is expanding my understanding of my own human experience and making more room in my heart for the experiences of others.
We are all living within this holy human experience.
A raw soul song recording is a song, just becoming. The lyrics and chords are just setting into my memory, and I make mistakes. It is an imperfect, unpolished, new song, filled with the heart and soul it came from.
I record the song on my phone in my living room.
